Lodging Considerations

There are a variety of lodging options available both on and off the mountain. We encourage our guests to book lodging on the Mountain if possible; with a gondola and windy roads, needing a quick trip to your lodging means you might miss an hour or more! Check out below for lodging options and travel details.

On Mountain Lodging

There are many options for on mountain lodging. For our guests’ convenience, we are working to reserve a room block at each of Silver Skis Chalet and Loge Camps. We will be staying at Silver Skis Chalet.

Room Block #1 - Silver Skis Chalet

Silver Skis Chalet is a group of individually owned condominiums, of which 22 are available for rent during our stay. These units include fully functional kitchens, living/dining areas, and balconies. This is a great option for families or groups of 4-7 people who want to lodge together.

Rates range from $442/night to $646/night.

To book here, please follow this link. This room block will expire on March 31, 2026.

Room Block #2 - Crystal Hotels

Crystal Hotels has several on mountain and off mountain options. Their on mountain options include (with anticipated room block rates):

The Village Inn (6 minute walk from the Crystal Mountain Gondola) - $179/night

The Quicksilver Lodge (5 minute walk from the Crystal Mountain Gondola) - $189/night

The Alpine Inn (2 minute walk from the Crystal Mountain Gondola) - $219/night

Things to do

Crystal Mountain caters to a variety of those looking to have a summer adventure in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest!

Visit Mt. Rainier National Park

See the volcano that will be our backdrop up close and personal! Mt. Rainier’s Sunrise Visitor Center is only a 26 mile (50minute) drive away from Crystal Mountain Resort. From here you can access tons of trails of varying difficulty, explore the history of the park, and see the wildflowers usually in full bloom during August! If you can get there for sunrise, you can see a spectacular show!

Get here by either driving there directly, or booking a seat on the Mt. Rainier Shuttle departing from the Crystal Mountain base lodge.

Crystal Mountain Resort

Crystal Mountain Resort is no slouch when it comes to exploring the great outdoors. With offerings that include the Flying Raven Adventure Course, the climbing wall, disc golf, and hiking, there’s no shortage of things to see and do. Remember, you can always take the gondola to the top and hike the Ridgeline or back down to find the right balance of movement and enjoyment.

Exploring Seattle

For guests wishing to come early or stay longer and experience Seattle

Seattle things to do

If you’re looking to make the most of your visit, check out this list for options of things to do and eat while you’re here!

Typical tourist sightseeing

Pike Place Market

As one of the oldest public markets in the United States, Pike Place Market is home to over 400 shops including farmer’s stands, fishmongers, a crafts market, and some of the most inviting family restaurants in Seattle, including Lowell’s Restaurant & Bar and Shug’s Soda Fountain & Ice Cream.

The Gum Wall

Located beneath Pike Place Market, gum wall is the most fun, mildly disgusting thing you can do while in Seattle! Admire the art, take some photos, and don’t forget to bring your own chew to contribute to the collection!

The Seattle Waterfront

Recently redeveloped, the Seattle Waterfront is full of wonders. Take a ride on the ferris wheel, see the fish at the Seattle Aquarium, or get some Ivar’s only to have it stolen by a seagull. From the waterfront you can take a harbor cruise, the water taxi to Alki beach (closets to Salty’s mentioned below), or hop on a Ferry to Bainbridge Island (full of shops, restaurants, and art)!

Visit Seattle Center

Home of the Space Needle, the Pacific Science Center, the Climate Change Arena, Seattle Center has a number of attractions all worth their own visit. Armin’s favorite is the Chihuly Garden and Glass which is home to some great glass sculptures and sits in the shadow of the Space Needle!

Check out the museums!

The Seattle Art Museum has several installations and is home to some great Native American artworks, outdoor sculptures with a walk along the water and Olympic Mountain views Olympic Sculpture Park, or their ode to Asian art at SAM’s Asian Art Museum in located in Volunteer Park in the Capital Hill neighborhood.

The Frye Museum is always free to visit and is where we had one of our early dates!

Take a photo at Kerry Park

For the quintessential Seattle view point, head up to Kerry Park in our own neighborhood of Queen Anne!

There’s so much more to explore, if you’re looking for suggestions, please reach out, we’d love to share some of our favorite spots!

What to Eat - check out some of our favorite eats

You can find our favorite Thai at Isarn.

Grab pub food with a view of Lake Washington at the Magnuson Brewery.

Check out the breakfast sandwiches at Biscuit Bitch or Backyard Bagel.

Looking for oysters or Dungeness crab? Look no further than Ray’s (Olympic views) or Salty’s (Seattle skyline views).

Since it’s summer, don’t forget to get some ice cream at Molly Moon’s or Salt & Straw!
