Our Story

Once upon a time…

there was a girl who grew up on Buttercup Street in Spokane, Washington. When she came of age, a life of creativity and adventure called to her. She journeyed west across the mountains to build a life full of art and magic in the Emerald City.

Miles and miles away, a young boy in Poland took a long plane ride across the ocean to settle in East Rutherford, New Jersey with his family. One day when he was fully grown, he packed his bags and his dog to embark on the road trip of a lifetime landing him in Seattle, WA.

These two met the way many great love stories begin: on a dating app.

    THE BRIDE

One solitary evening in August 2023, while living in Rob and Jennessa West’s mother-in-law unit, not so long after having my heart squashed, I was thumbing through a dating app, just hoping to keep hope alive. Suddenly my tired thumb came to a standstill. There in front of me was a man with a boyish grin gazing with unabashed excitement and reverence at a piece of cake.

Now this might sound silly, but what I saw in that face was a delight that cut to the core of me. This face had no filter, no mask, no self-consciousness… just pure, rapturous wonder and appreciation for the simple pleasures of life.

It was Armin’s joy of being alive that drew me into his orbit. I wanted to be around and be a part of that joy. :)

    THE GROOM

Fast forward many messages and a few weeks later and Meaghan invites me to go blackberry picking at a nearby park. The faithful day, August 8, 2023.

Of course, we’re both late. I had traffic. Meaghan had a party. When I arrived I found Meaghan meditating at the end of the dock on Lake Washington and thought, nice.

We picked berries and talked. About life. About family. About recent dating history. I was drawn to Meaghan’s depth and found it so refreshing to make a meaningful connection, no matter how it may turn out.

Once our blackberry baskets were full, we we made our way back to the water on this typical Seattle summer day, and were greeted by the majestic Mount Rainier, reflecting the slowly setting sun. Of course, I gasped.

Not long after their first date, Armin and Meaghan found themselves in different places under the same sky watching the Perseid meteor shower. Sitting by the campfire, Meaghan leaned against her sister as the shooting stars streamed through the night sky and made a wish…

Cue 08.08.26.

Here we are 3 years later(!) with a vision for our upcoming wedding day that we would love to share with you.

We have both climbed some mountains in our life—literally and metaphorically, with each other and on our own. Mountains stand for endurance—they move slow, they don’t bend easily, and they remain strong and steady through the toughest of storms. Mountains are places where the earth meets the sky, stirring reverence and wonder for forces that are so much bigger than us. We are honored to give our wedding vows to each other against the backdrop of Mt. Rainier, a mountain that blessed our first meeting.

Both of us believe in the power of wishing on a star, sending a prayer to the heavens, or simply saying a dream out loud. When we met, the magic of the Perseids symbolized a moment when the universe suddenly felt open to possibility. Now as we prepare for our wedding, the Perseids will be a symbol of love renewing itself over and over and over again every year on our anniversary. We are elated to dance with you as the stars fall around us and our heart’s deepest wish comes true.
